Your doctor should of told that you have to finish an entire pack and be started on your second before you are in the safe zone. BUT, NO birth control is 100%, there for, if you are not trying to get pregnant you should always use a condom as well. Plus, the pill DOES NOT protect you against HIV and STD's.

Just because you are on birth control, you should still use a condom? If your asking this, then you must be young. The pill doesn't protect you against STD's or things like that. Please use your head, to me the pill is great with out a condom when you are in a lasting relationship, and it is the two of you. Please think, you might be helping!!!!! No guarantee, on getting pregnant, but you are opening yourself up to all other things.

It takes some week for start administration to kick in, yet bear in mind start administration can nonetheless fail fantastically in case you ignore to take a pill sooner or later. I say nonetheless use a condom, to guard against STD's your bf ought to unknowingly have (some STD's do no longer teach indicators IN adult males) and archives teach which you will no longer say condoms make intercourse much less unpleasurable because of the fact of each and all the condom options.

I'd wait until you've taken the pill every day for at least 2-3 months to be absolutley safe. By the way, I've gotten pregnant 3 times while on the pill & I'd been taking them for 5+ years, so you can never be 100% safe with the pill.

Unless you are in a committed relationship you should never be having sex without a condom. If you are in a committed relationship it takes a whole cycle for the pill to be effective.

You need to wait at least 30 days from the start of taking the pill. Trust me, I just stopped taking it after 5 years on!
Not to be too motherly, but you should make sure that whomever you are with and yourself are tested before having sex. The pill does not protect you from any diseases.

The doctors should have told you to wait till after your first cycle on the pill. Then its safe if you take it around the same time every day. Just remember to take them. Put them in a safe, convient place where you will remember to take them. I use to put them right in the kitchen cupboard in front of the coffee cups. It may sound silly, but every morning I would get up & have coffee & there they were so I didnt forget.

After you are done with the 1st pack and you have started and finished your 1st period. If you are sleeping with multiple partners or have not been with the same partner for a long time you should still use a condom. If you have been with your partner for 6mo or more both of you should get an HIV test. heck you should get one anyway and so should your partner. Be safe and use both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
