Just make sure you communicate this to your dentist in no uncertain terms that you are extremely fearful of getting the dental work done. They have ways these days of making your visit much easier... But, you need to make sure they are aware of this. When I go, they usually ask me if I am afraid of getting my dental work done and I tell them no, but when I asked them why, they did tell me that they can help make things easier if I were afraid. Also, don't forget the very most important thing - tell them you are pregnant! They need to know because of the xrays that they need. They will know how to properly and safely handle the situation. Good luck and just remember that it is a heck of a lot easier now a days and you may be surprised just how much easier it is than what you probably expect.

yeah, actually, my dentist wouldn't do any serious dental work on me until after the baby was born. Check again with your dentist and OBGYN to ensure the procedure is safe for a pregnant woman.
