I'm on the pill, and i finished my period a week ago, on new years eve. When i was on my period me and my bf had sex, but near the end of it. I now constantly feel sick, but i'm never actually sick? could i be pregnant? because i don't understand how i could be, i take my pill on time every day and i have never missed one. What else could it be?

i have been on the pill for 3 months, and ive just started my second pack, but in the first 3 months i felt really sick too. You are protected during ur period and so im not sure i can be pregnant as im very careful with taking it on time.

I feel really sick and really tired if I am anemic. That means there is not enough iron in the blood stream. To fix it I can eat foods high in iron, take a vitamin, but the best thing to do is drink liquid chlorophyll. It's like plant blood with tons of iron. You can get it at a health food store. Good luck.

If you just started taking the pill, it takes a few weeks for it to become effective so that makes it possible for you to be pregnant. Other medications, particularly antiobiotics, can render your birth control pills useless, also making pregnancy a possibility. I don't think you're pregnant, honestly, it's very difficult to get pregnant when you're on your period. What other things are you taking- vitamins make me feel sick, you may have developed an allergy to a certain type of food, or you may have caught a stomach virus of some sort. If it pursues more than a week, I'd say go get checked out to be sure it's nothing serious. Get well soon!
Oh btw that comment that you are not protected from pregnancy when you're on you period is wrong. The pill prevents an egg from being released so there's nothing to be fertilized..period or not.

I don't think you could be pregnant. But you should speak to your doctor they're the most important person to ask. I'm on the pill too and my husband and I have had sex when I have been on my last days of my period.
If you are on the pill, it doesn't matter when you have sex, even if during your period, you are still protected. So I am not thinking you are pregnant. What pill are you on?
Have you gotten side effects to taking the pill? If you are new to taking the pill, this might be the reason. Your body might still be getting used to them.
My best suggestion- see your doctor.
Good luck and hope you feel better!

How long have you been on the pill? Either way, there's always a chance of pregnancy with the pill. The only fool-proof way to keep from being pregnant is abstience. Otherwise, if you're just starting out, it could be side effects from the pill and it may not be the right one for you. Your best bet is to go get it checked out by a doctor.
And P.S. to the person who says that you're not protected when you have your period, that's just wrong information. You are still protected while you're on your period as long as you take it at the same time everyday.

You could be pregnant, but it isn't likely. Perhaps you have caught the flu, but your body is fighting it off enough to keep you from being really sick, just not enough to end it. Or, it could be mono. There are all kinds of things that could be causing it. You should take a test and talk to your doc.

The pill works because of strong hormones in it. A lot of people who take the pill report feeling sick or nauseous, but most of those people take the "morning after" kind.

it sounds like you are pregnant!! even though you are on the pill, you are still able to get pregnant, if you have sexual intercourse during your period you should always wear a condom, not just rely on the pill. Contact your gp or take a pregnancy test!!

IF YOU WERE PREGNANT, I DON'T THINK YOU WOULD BE SICK BECAUSE YOU ARE PREGNANT. A LOT OF TIMES WOMEN WANTS TO BE PREGNANT, THAT THEY GO THROUGH ALL THE SYMPTOM THAT ARE NORMAL WHEN PREGNANT EVEN MISSING PERIODS. YOUR MEDICINE COULD BE THE REASON. JUST WAIT A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND DO A PREGNANCY TEST.

Obviously when you were having your period, you were not on the pill. During that time, you are unprotected from pregnancy (unless you use condoms). You can definitely still get pregnant on your period. I would get tested if I were you.
