Does anyone know how to make a home made battery additive. I need an additive, that will save a dead battery, that has bad sulfation. I have searched the internet, haven't found anything on homemade battery additives. All input welcome.

If the battery is badly sulfated then nothing you add will help. The battery cells will short at the bottom due to the buildup soon if they haven't already. Recycle the battery and buy a new one or a good used one from a salvage yard or dealer.

I worked in a battery plant for 23 years you can try adding DI water if its not a sealed battery but most likely the sediment has shorted out a cell i would get a new battery

I would suggest the old and tried true method of distilled water in the cells, that is unless they have been left dry for too long a period. J.C.Whitney auto parts sells a battery "rejuvenatory." product, I have no experience with the product . You might be well advised to go to Yahoo questions for first hand experiences concerning the product. Go to jcwhitney.com for an on line catalog or a free print catalog.

buy a new battery, experimenting could blow it up, this could cause an unpleasant experience causing you next time to just buy a new battery :)
