the confusion is because you said that you live at your mom's with your son who is not his.

And I answered as it was his...some just didn't catch that.

But my answer is the same....fix your living arrangements and lose the I am a mother so I just deserve custody no matter what attitude.

I didn't hear you say he is a bad father or anything but automatically you bring up his past criminal history which he paid the price for. That just shows you will dis-credit him for no reason. The true point should be what kind of father he is....not his past.

A good parent (both) will have the best interest of the child in mind....which in the good scenario will be joint custody!

This is about your daughter not you and his hate towards one another.

You have nothing to worry about. He can't get custody unless he can prove you are an unfit mom.
