Without a doubt, my kindergarten teacher was the best. I had wonderful teachers throughout elementary, junior high, and high school, but she was the best because she saw that I had mastered what she was teaching and she didn't want me to get bored. She talked to my parents about enriching my curriculum. She didn't make me wait on the other students. I know for a fact that she did this for other students as well. She truly made her class child-centered. Because I am now a teacher, I understand just how difficult to manage her approach was, but it made all the difference in my life.

I remember most of them, and they were excellent, and very patient. But the best thing they did for us (especially the 2nd grade teacher and, the 4th grade teacher) was read books to us. I remember this time vividly, usually for 30 minutes before lunchtime, I think, until the book was finished, and it is my happiest school memory, made me love books, and love school.
