Capital Punishment is legal and should be used more. Clearly, if you are found to not possess the ability to live within the confines of society, you should be taken out. If you are nothing but a drain to society and constantly break the law, why live in society? Why not do society a favor and kill them?

I think it is right when dealing with anyone who maliciously and intently takes the life of another or damages that person to irreparable mental or physical injury.
That being said, I think the judicial system in America leaves much to be desired and until the day when we can completely and totally prove guilt without any cause of doubt towards the guilty person, capital punishment should not be used.

Right or wrong is a tough call. Does it serve a good purpose? Yes, it serves several. It acts as a deterrant (people will think twice about killing someone if they can get the death penalty), it serves the interest of closure for murder victims (they see that the one who killed their loved ones and permanently damaged their lives get a just punishment), and it serves the public interest of justice (people who commit murder are removed from society without the taxpayers having to bear the burden of incarcerating, feeding, clothing, sheltering, and providing medical care to these criminals). Finally, it also reminds us of our mortality and that we don't have the right to arbitrarily take someone else's life (READ: If you decide that you have the right to play God and take someone else's life for no good reason other than you wanted to, you get reminded that you're not God).

Capital punishment is dandy.. it should be used more often... a life sentance w/o parole is a waste of taxpayers money let them sit on death row for 4 years for their appeals then off to whichever method of execution is deemed apporiate with current and future dna knowledge and better criminal science the odds of making a mistake have dropped almost to 0

Hammurabi code = eye for an eye.
I think in the case of murder or other cases where the conviction is taking/ruining someone's life (ex. rape), it's fine.
We have DNA testing, legal appeals, and other checks and balances to help kill less innocent people, and I'd still rather execute one too many over having repeat offenders escape or be paroled. Even life sentences are a reward at taxpayers' expense.

It's right. If you are a murderer, rapist, or child molester, then you should be punished - and death sentence is the most appropriate for such people.
