If you don't have another job in the works, and you have no savings to fall back on, then stay with this job until you find something else. Even if you have savings, it's still frightening not knowing whether something will come up.
I know how it feels to go to a job you hate, but I also know that it would probably feel worse to wonder if you'll be able to pay rent and buy groceries.
Start looking hard for something else. Maybe find something that would allow you to go back to school, if you want to change professions.

Obviously I dont know your situation but as I have explained to a grown child, work is called work for a reason, it isn't play. You cant changes jobs often or you will never never find your grove or advace in an organization. For most jobs it takes at leat a year maybe 2 or 3 before you are really proficient.
I agree with most of the respondents, you probally need to find something more in line with your personality. Look not just at what you like but at your strengths and weaknesses.
Questions to examine:
Is the problem with your job a "people" based problem or intrinsic to the work itself. Are there other positions at your work that you think you might prefer.
What is your ideal job, will you need schooling for it? If so you need ot work and save like a big dog so you can take off some time and get that schooling.
Is there a job fair you can visit to get ideas. Would you consider workign for a temp agency to learn about new carreers.

I'm worried about what I hear you saying. Being a nurse, are the life and health of others in your hands? If so, not being qualified is something that you should probably be discussing with your supervisor. Also, your attitude towards this job probably is the best for patient care. Assuming that you are in the right line of work, just the wrong ward, is there someone you can speak to about what's going on? If not, I'd say gettig a new job where you feel better about your qualifications and the job in general is best for all.

Don't quit your job unless you have another one in the wings. Be a grown-up, suck it up and take one for the team until you get something better.
