I work at a dealership, most people trade them in and run when it's time to replace the batteries because you can spend less money buying a new car.

The price is around 6-8k. You can still drive the car on the gas engine. Its resale value will be significantly less than the straight gas variant, since no one is going to buy the car and plop down the extra money.

And no battery last forever. If that was the case GM would have had their electric cars (EVO 1) out now and we would be off the gas.

There is a company in California that makes better batteries.They can make the mileage go up to the 100s mpg.
And the batteries last forever, I think its $6,000, but it could save money over the long haul.

no idea...I'd really like to know though, seeing as how these more-environmentally-friendly-than-gas cars are going to be filing up the junkyards with old batteries soon enough, and at a quicker pace than the older cars.
