You have to be honest with this guy that you have been dating and let him know how you feel and why you feel that way. If does not know what you are feeling he will not know what say or how to react. It will be hard to tell him, but nothing is easy anyway. He will appreciate it that you were honest, but disappointed because you did not tell him sooner, the longer you wait the harder it will be. I am sure that you don't want to tell him but you have to or you will regret not doing it. Be civiled about it when you do tell him.

Just tell him directly that although he's a nice guy you can't continue dating him anymore.
