As stated above it easy to spell and recognize for it's Symbolism to Snoring. The longer the zzzzzzzz the longer they snore and sleep. A zzzz just a snort, and a zzzzzzzzzzz one of those "My God wake up snores"!!!

because for along time people have used zzzzz as snoring its just something that has been happening maybe its for death people to let them see that they are snoring and its a easier way of showing people that they are snoring..xx..

zzz is the closest sound tat mimics snoring in reality... just like hissss , grrr ... the ending sound is most similar to the real thing ... tat is y it is used in cartoons in this manner ...
