I'm looking for peoples opinions and what, if anything you say or do about it. How about when getting a massage(a real one) Getting waxed? At the doctor during an exam? On a nude beach? At a nudist colony?

its never inappropriate
any real Massage therpist knows that A. Massage increases blood flow. B. Massage Feels good.
Doctor. again doesnt matter. He/she knows how the human penis works and knows that an erection is not only caused by a guy being "turned on"
Getting waxed - please?...
Most nudists would agree that it would be appropiate to cover up if this happens. though they really dont care or mind either
Most guys cant even help it when they do get an erection or control it.. anyone that tells you its inappropriate in this circumstance or that one has serious mental issues

Sometimes it even could be inapproriate, but for me it remains a normal -often spontaneous- issue that can't be condemed or poked fun of it!
Certainly it shouldn't be considered inappropriate on the beach or in a nudist area i.e.
We all are human made in flesh, and sex&sexuality haven't to be considered a bad/wrong affair!

Any time you're in public it's inappropriate. It's definitely inapproriate when you're getting waxed, at the doctor and when getting a massage.

That depends what your thinking is at the time.
Inappropriate is what you do while it is erect.
you should have a towel to cover it.
being on the beach I would get wet
at a nudist /naturist resort You still have the towel but in all my time there I have never seen one

When getting a message or going to the doctor, many men will get an erection. These people are professional and will not embarrass you. It happens all the time. Don't sweat it.
