Odds are the size of the video file is too large for your firends mail system. Or the system is set up to block that particular type of file.

You can try renaming the file and giving it a different extension (the three letters at the end). Suggest you change it to a ".txt" extension as all e-mail system allow txt. Your friend will need to rename it back to the right extension once she gets it.

If that does not work, either reduce the size of the file, or use one of the online sites where you can upload a large file and then your friend can go to the site and download it.

For security reason some e mail clients will block certain types of extensions when sent as an attachment.

The MSN e mail client is also famous for blocking videos sent as attachments for no good reason.

It sounds like your friend needs to configure her settings.

Or most e mail providers will let the customers view their mail on the web. Perhaps your friend could go to her webmail page and try to download the attachment there.

Try downloading a program such as winzip. Then zip the file up. Not only will this make the file smaller, but most email providers allow zipped files through. After you install winzip, right click on the file. Choose add to zip file. Then click on the add button. This will then zip the file up and put in the same location as the original. Then attach this file to the letter. When that person receives it they will have to save the to their desktop and right click on it and extract.
