multiply the whole number by the denominator, and then add it to the numerator. then, you can just multiply or divide as a normal fraction.
so 1 3/5 would be (5+3)/5 or 8/5
then times 3/4 would be 24/20 = 6/5 = 1 1/5

To multiply: just multiply as regular numbers and reduce if necessary. Example:
2/4 x 4/5= 2x4 over 4x5= 8/15

this is because i multiplied 2 and 4 together and 3 and 5 together and that is equal to 8 over 15

Divide:
Multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction.
Example:
2/3 divided by 4/5 = 2 x 5 over 3 x 4, which is equal to 10/12 = which is simplified to 5/6

A b/c & D e/f are the two mixed numbers

Convert both to improper fractions:

(cA+b)/c & (fD+e)/f

Multiply fractions: multiply the numerators for the new numerator, multiply the denominators for the new denominator:

(cA+b)(fD+e)/cf

Divide fractions: multiply the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second:

(cA+b)(f) / (fD+e)(c)

Don't forget to simplify.
