I'm not sure of your starting point, but I'm guessing you are near Interstate 15. Take 15 South all the way down until you hit the 5 North. Take 5 North to the San Diego/Coronado Bay Bridge (State Highway 75). Go west over the Bridge, stay on Highway 75, which is also 4th St. in Coronado, until it ends and turn left (on Alameda). Naval Air Station is on your right, just follow the road and it turns into the base.

i don't think you can drive to coronado from murrieta. they have to backpack in or be dropped in like firefighters. rough country.
