Go to your local grocery store and buy a bottle of laundry bleach (any brand). That is about 5% sodium hypochlorite in aqueous solution.

Swimming pool bleach (HTH) is calcium hypochlorite. "Pool Shock" is (generally) lithium hypochlorite.
