when you have a boss that says very offensive things to you and your coworkers and demands repsect, what do you do? I mean do you just not say anything at all? My coworkers are afraid to stand up for themselves, but this is ridiculous to have to endure so many offensive remarks from day to day.

Buy a little tape recorder. Have it in your pocket and when he enters the room press record. After you have the abusive encounters on tape do with it as you wish. give copy to HR what ever. If you are in the US a lawyer would scare the crap out of the company since every one takes every one to court these days i guess it is trendy to have a string of ongoing lawsuits these days.

One of the first things you must do when you 'acquire' a boss is to learn how to insulate yourself from him/her. Most bosses are real S.O.Bs and there's not much you can do about that. You just need to know how to cope.

When you have a boss that says offensive things, be sure to let him or her know that what was said was offensive to you and explain why if you need to. If after that it still persists, file a harassment suit and quit.

start keeping a journal of what he does and report it to the HR department. Once you report him to HR, they will want you to provide evidence of his behavior. Make sure you always keep the original journal so that if they dont do anything, you can seek other ways such as hiring a lawyer or going straight to the labor dept to file a complaint.

I had one like yours in my previous job.A rude, impolite, ignorant and totally stupid person.I often argued with him but it was pointless because he couldn't understand how stupid he was.
Now I left the job and my former coworkers told me he misses me.By the way it's never worth to deal with such people.
