PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are wwwwwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better!!!! It is basically a computer. You can get 20 or even 60 gigs of space. Plus PS3 has blu-ray hi-def. O have played one myself and the grphics the best I have ever seen. The Wii has the motion sensing controller but PS3 is the same thing but is a Playstation. And plus the Wii has no hi-def and it can't play movies.

I'm going to take an objective stance on this.
First off, I think all the consoles are great, and will be awesome when they come into their potential.
That being said, at THIS POINT IN TIME, I'd recommend getting a Wii.
The PS3 right now has not delivered most of the promises they've made, and still have issues playing PS2 and PS1 games (over half of them still won't play). Yes, it is a visually-impressive system, but there isn't much content yet. I say get a PS3 eventually, just not right now. Plus, the PS3 is just getting ready for another launch overseas, and Sony is rerouting a lot of systems to cover that launch, so you MIGHT have trouble getting one.
Personally, I own a Wii (and will be buying an xbox 360 as soon as I get my tax return), and will buy a PS3 eventually, when the bugs are worked out.
The Wii has a few decent games out right now (Zelda, DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2, Metal Slug Anthology), and the Virtual Console service is awesome -- you can download classic games for previous consoles with the Wii's built-in Wi-Fi connection.
Bottom line, Sony DOES have game, but I think they jumped the gun a bit. Hold off until they get their stuff together, and grab a Wii.

Well this is opening up a can of worms...thing is that something like this is a completely personal question. Both consoles have pros and cons. Ultimately it's going to boil down to what kind of games you like (also what consoles your friends are getting, if you want to play with them). Personally I plan on getting both :D, simply because they do such different things and the games catalogue for both is so different. The PS3 has the power and the phenomenal graphics while the Wii has a very unique style of gameplay! I would say, have a look at some games reviews (rather than console reviews) and see which console has the types of games that appeal to you.

Definitely Wii, apart from graphics and Blu-Ray (which is crap anyway), it is better in every way than the PS3. Playing games like Zelda and Red Steel is absolutely awesome.
The Wii is HDTV compliant (so it will work on a HDTV if you get a HDMI cable, although neither console is supplied with this cable).
It does not have DVD playback but I guess you already have a DVD player (DVD players will always be better because they are actually designed for the job).
The PS3 supports an impressive back-catalogue but the Wii supports an incredible back catalogue of over 20 years, with NES, SNES, Megadrive and N64 games available to download for a small charge (it's worth it).
The Wii also supports full internet browsing, e-mail, local weather forecasting, a proposed feature that enables you to check news headlines, AMAZING interactive gameplay and graphics power twice that of the original XBox - all for less than 200 quid.
The PS3 will have good graphics, but graphics, in my opinion, are for technically minded people who like to judge things. The Wii is a simple, and very fun approach to gaming.
Get a Wii =D

I have both, and I don't have a bad thing to say about either. My husband likes the ps3 better. But I love the Wii, The interaction with the game is so much more active.

While the PS3 can do all kinds of cool stuff besides playing games, the price tag is what turns many people off. If you really really want one, wait for the price to go down first.
If you want to just play games, and play them in a whole new way, go for the Wii. Zelda alone should keep you occupied for a while.

I considered a great form of the categorised commercials for Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3.. yet I could desire to declare, the terrific one may be PS3.. The music "women folk and gents" replaced into attracting.. the business for PS3 replaced into severe.

It all depends in what u like...if u want graphics, and physics (this is how the player interacts with the world around them) and have a small amount of fun then go with the ps3, but in the other hand if u want to have OK graphics and physics and great FUNNNNN then i recommend the Nintendo Wii.

what do you mean by wait a bit long? ps3 price will not drop for 4 years, same as ps2.
And if you are asking this question, you have never played the WII, its like a white, technologic, confusing version of Atari mixed in with SNES. only good game on it is Zelda, the ONLY one. i mean if i had it thats the only 1 i would ever buy unless Madden or NBA Live came out on it.
My Opinion: PS3 with Resistence: Fall of man, and if you want to play online (who doesnt), get a Logitech Ps2 Headset from ebay (around 20$), as the bluetooth is confusing to connect/reconnect/stay connected.

The game Metal Slug Brutal is bloodier and more brutal than before. This game has a level of violence that makes gamers happier than with any other war game.
It's surely the leader game of its type.
