Report this to the School Committee. That ought to put a fire under that issue...and embarrass the school administration for not taking action on the matter. Notify the Supt of School for a heads up first and make sure he calls you back before notifying the School Board. Give him 3 days to act on it...if not got right to the School Bd and let them know he was notified 3 days ago. The police won't do anything but the papers will pick up the complaint and publish is. Tell no fibs or you'll lose your credibility....

Hmm ok, you can tell to police and you can tell to school's board and explain about the bully. You can get a education lawyer that can help you solve the problem.

School should doing something and they are responsible for the students for their parents while they're at work and at home. Or you can talk to teacher and make a big meet. You have a right to sue the school if they doing nothing with the students.

Start documenting every instance of the bullying. What's said, what happened, who witnessed it, when, where, your responses and actions. Include property and physical, mental, and emotional damage.

You'll need all this evidence when you take it to the school authorities, and then to the school superintendent when nothing is done.

The police will not step into a school case unless there are firearms, drugs or weapons involved. They have enough cases of domestic and civil violence to deal with to be bothered by school bullying.

Take self defense courses and learn to defend yourself. Don't be a victim any longer! If you are accused for defending yourself you have the documentation evidence to help your case.

It helps to ignore the bullies, even though this attitude infuriates them in the short run. Their attitude is so immature and pitiful. If you are mature and strong inside yourself, eventually they'll give up and pick on someone else weaker than they are.

Go talk to the principal again. Make it clear that you expect something to be done or that you will report the situation to the police. Remind him/her that if this has been reported to the school in the past (especially more than once) that the school cna be held liable for any injuries or problems that arise from the constant bullying.

The school should have taken an immediate action toward bullying, that's not good! its not fair that you have to go school being scared of some stupid people, and if the school doesn't do anything then tell the police don't ignore it! it can get worse, tell your schools headteacher how you are feeling about it and I'm sure if you talk properly about to someone then they will do something about it, don't lose hope and dont let those bullies make you sad! tell the police if it doesnt stop, i wish you good luck. take care bye.

I understand your concern, it has to be dealt with quickly and efficiently, I don't think the school is the answer, it could lead to more bullying, because these types of bullies aren't afraid of any school punishment, if in fact there is any! Talk to the police and ask their advise, it's got to be worth a try.

i would do things outside of school with your child to help build their confidence. once a child has self confidence either they can ignore the bully's and the bully's get bored. or they become popular and it stops. encourage your child to go to self defence classes and anything else they might enjoy...
in the meantime ask your child to start writing a diary of the abuse, whether it was reported to a teacher...and whether that teacher took any steps to intervene!...then review it and take it to the head master, as then you have it all in the childs words exactly what has happened.

I had a similar situation. I went to the principal and told them my son would no longer remain passive, and was instructed to defend himself since the school would not. They were not to punish him in any way shape or form, as they had tacitly declared that kids had to defend themselves against bullies, as the school would not.

He never had to fight, the school immediately stepped in and started doing something about it.
