Porn and masturbation are a private thing. It's like going to the bathroom. Everyone does it, but there is a door for privacy. It's not something you want to share with other people all the time. lol

First of all, what is his age? If he is under 50 it is testosterone speaking mostly, and perhaps the way he was raised. (repressed??) There are more issues here that you have not talked about. Anyway, what is sexy when you are 20 is not the same as when you are 40, or 50 or 60. Your body changes, as do your values... unless you grow old as a creepy old man! Why do you need a 3-some? Do you feel fulfilled with him? You both need some help. Porn is like getting away with sex as a teenager. Porn is like watching explosions and car crashes. The next one has to be bigger and more outrageous!! Your husband needs another hobby, like an old car or model trains, or something else to put all this drive towards!

Shame or embarrassment. Either talk to him about it, or leave him be privately so he can watch it. I say bring it up, make sure he knows you are cool with it. Eventually, he may be more comfortable. My guess is he has some shame around it, perhaps received negative messages from other partners about it. It's worth exploring with him.
Porn can be a tricky subject. I've had the experience of having men I've dated reach into my nightstand drawer for condoms without asking permission. I used to get annoyed at this because I kept porn in there that I was embarrassed about (I like the same magazines that men like, generally the raunchy stuff). It took some reassurance from my partners that not only did they not care, they thought it was cool that I had it around!
It just takes time getting more comfortable about attitudes on porn. Your husband will probably come around.

It's a private thing I guess for him and he might be embarrassed by it. Regardless if wife cares or not, this is something he wants to keep to himself. Maybe the kind of porn he watches he's ashamed of. Or he's not comfortable pleasing himself in front of wife. There could be so many reasons, regardless, the wife should respect his privacy, especially if she means what she says that she doesn't care if he watches.
I'm not a big fan of it, but mine knows that he can watch it if he wants to, I'm not going to stop him. He respects that and it's one of those "what I don't know won't kill me" type scenarios.

I don't understand this either. Most men would be happy to have a wife who doesn't mind if he watches porn. Maybe he is just uncomfortable having his wife see him watching the porn. I don't mind when my husband watches porn. We watch it together sometimes, it's fun!

There are many types of porn. Yeah, he watches porn but maybe it is a freaky type that he doesn't want you to see. Men, mainly like lesbian porn. Raw sex with no stupid story line.

It could be that he is embarrassed, doesn't want his wife to think he is a pervert. Then there are those unforseen things; maybe he once acted in a porn, maybe an ex girlfriend is a porn star?

Beats me, you're right, this makes no sense what so ever.
P.S.... Dr Phil is an idiot. His answer to this question fails to answer your question. He is merely saying porn is a bad thing. Hey Dr. Phil, how about answering the posters question.
