Well you do realise that we only sing one verse there is six verses all together. I believe we should have it changed to land of hope and glory as it is more cheer full and inspires a British spirit (Last night of the Proms). I like the French anthem I think it has a cheery tune, I have found at the Olympics that British national anthem, is the slowest and takes our sportsmen longer to walk around the stadium ring (race track).

I know it's not the official anthem but I love 'Flower of Scotland', especially with the bagpipes and drums and a huge crowd singing along.
I have no idea why, but every time I hear it I cry - just such an emotional song (and I'm not even Scots!).

I disagree. I think the British national anthem's fairly good, though I prefer 'Rule, Brittania!'. My favorite national anthem is Jimi Hendrix's version of 'The Star-Spangled Banner'.

No doubt about it, France's anthem really makes you want to run out and guillotine a few aristos. Russia's isn't too bad since they brought back the old Soviet version.

jeruslem should me the national anthem yeh god save the queen has a powerful message but nothing stands out like a good sing song sort that really makes you passionate about the country you live in God save the queen/king is boring.
