The fastest way I can think of is to go to a couple of temp services. You come in and take testing, then they find work for you. It cuts out your leg work and I've got most of my experience from being a temp. It got me in the door at some places I probably never could have been. Now I have a nice paying, good, full time job with a company I started temping with at first.

Happy hunting!

Search websites such as Monster, Careerbuilder & HotJobs. And if your local newspaper has a website, try there as well.

If you are looking to stay in retail, your best bet may be to pound the pavement. Go to a mall or plaza and jump one store to the next filling out applications.

For warehouse work, compile a list of all the local companies/factories in your area. Go online and see if they have a website that posts jobs. If not, contact them directly and ask for the HR representative and inquire if they are hiring in that department. It does take guts sometime to pick up the phone - - just keep in mind that most companies are actually very helpful and respect someone willing to go the extra mile and inquire.

No matter which area of interest you decide on, I would suggest to put together a resume if you haven't already. It looks professional and will give you an edge above other applicants. When turning in your completed applications, just include the resume with it.

Good luck!

A seasonal job is just that... "seasonal". You had to know it was coming to an end. I know, because I also work for a seasonal business.
Only you know what the job market is in your area. Since it's winter, I'm thinking that there's not a whole lot available in the landscaping business.
You need to develop a resume and get it out there so that people know that you're available and what you have to offer.
Check the Internet and see if there are any jobs available in your area that you're qualified for. Buy the local newspaper and see if there are any jobs listed. Check out the state unemployment agency and see if they have any listings. Go to local businesses and see if they're accepting applications. If they are, fill one out. Above all, don't sit home playing on your computer all day. You'll never find a job that way.
