I have this friend that I professionally sing with. He is really nice and we are good friends. He lives 2 hrs. away and none of my other friends have ever met him. They all think he's my boyfriend and They won't listen to me when I tell them he's not. They are going to one of our shows and they are meeting him next month. I am afraid they will mess up our relationship. How do I make sure this doesn't happen?

Straight out tell your friends that though you get along with your co-singer you just remain good friends and nothing more. Ask them why they are assuming that you are more than friends with this guy and then calmly let them know that if you had a boyfriend they would be the first to know and until then they don't need to go on making assumptions that could get you into hot water with this guy. Maybe they'll have a funny reason why they think that you and this guy are more than friends and you can share it with your co-singer to better explain to him what your crazy friends are like. And it wouldn't hurt to ask your friends to keep their mouths shut about the boyfriend remarks around this guy because you're such good friends you don't want him thinking any thing that could ruin it all.

If you two are defintely professional, there is little they can do to mess it up.
You are bound together in a friendship that hinges on your mutual enjoyment of singing.
They are just jealous that you spend time with a guy and he isn't a boyfriend. They can't figure it out...
They are just being girls and want to tease you, so relax, there is nothing to worry about.
You can't predict what they will do or say. so don't waste your time fretting.
Your singing partner will handle any problems that might arise. He will defend your honour and your relationship, so relax....

Prepare him for it, tell him what they think and how they won't listen to you. And talk to your friends again and tell them what you have just said here, that you don't want them to mess up your relationship with your good friend. If they continue to do this they are not your friends.
