Welcome to adulthood.

First off, create a serious budget for yourself. Money coming in vs. money going out and when. Project this budget into the future. If the money expected to come in is less than that expected to go out, you must change something. A cheaper apartment, a better job, public transportation instead of a car etc.

Get the money monkey off of your back and then you can concentrate on personal stuff.

You kind of answered your own question when you said you're want a "clear answer".

Everything is all muddled up in your head, and its causing "mental confusion". There isn't one solution to your problem because your problem is a bunch of things that all add up to making you miserable.

Write lists on paper to sort it all out. Make a category for money, personal organization, relationships, etc. When it comes to "personal organization" make to-do lists and check off each thing you do. Make an updated list every day or two. When it comes to money write a list about what needs to be paid, when you can pay x amount, etc. Add a section for "people to call" and "people to write" or "waiting to hear back". Call who you need to call and update that list when necessary. When it comes to money issues all you can do is what you can do today. Once you've done what you can do (mail some payment, call someone, etc.) that's all you can do for now.

If you organize your life and make some lists to get the mess in your head organized on paper it can help.

Make time to do something that's just a nice and relaxing thing to do (listen to relaxing music for an hour at night, light a potpourri burner, open a window, go for a walk and a cup of coffee by yourself, etc.). Try to have an hour or so out of each day when you get away from the computer and the bright lights and just relax and enjoy some potpourri, music, and a nice cup of tea (or whatever you like).

Make it a point to get a certain amount of fresh air and sun each day as well.

You may want to call around and see if there's a way to refinance your school loan now or in x amount of time as well.

Think if there are any expenses you can get rid or or reduce (lower the cell phone plan? get rid of cable? stop eating out as much? stop seeing so many movies? etc.)

If you make a list of everything that needs to be organized or addressed in your life and work at that list you'll find that as one little thing here or there gets done and as each little thing combines with other little things you've improved eventually the whole picture will look better.

You may not be able to "voila- fix it" immediately, but if you work on doing any number of small things to improve any number of other small things eventually they all add up to make a better overall picture.

I can understand the situation that you are in. I have been broke before but lucky for me I am obsessed with budgeting and making every penny count. First you need to set yourself a budget. If you are single you can live off of bread, tuna, pasta or whatever is CHEAP! If you dont make enough at your job you need to take a second job. A few questions I have for you are:

Do you currently have a budget? Or some sort of plan to start paying off debt?
Is the car company going to let you return the car and if so what will you do for a ride then?
DId you graduate from college?

My point in asking these is to sit down and allocate your funds with each paycheck. I would allocate myself down to the last dollar to prevent myself from buying things I did not need like new shoes. I could live off of cereal, egg sandwichs or cheap food so that I could focus on paying off debt and staying ahead of my game. People dont realize the importance of paying on time. Credit is VERY important and people usually dont realize how important until they are going to buy a house or car and their interest rate is crazy due to poor decisions when they were younger! I am really good at budgeting and making things work and if I couldnt get by with what I made I picked up a second job. Getting out of lots of debt is important!

o.k. stop making payments on the car and let it go back
yes it will be on your credit report, but you need to get a car that runs [try to budget money=save for a car,buy a used car ,pay in full so you own it,stay away from buy here pay here lots[scams]
sit down and find out how much money you have per month and make a budget and stick to it [it`s the only way to get your life together]
if you don`t have a lot of money for food go to your moms and eat a few times a week..
good luck life is not easy we all struggle with bills

I'm really sorry that you are going through a tough time. But seriously tough times are needed because it'll only make you stronger and work harder. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. like you said life is full of learning lessons. You'll make it over this one just don't lose hope. Stay positive. Just remember you only have yourself and if you lose hope in yourself you have nothing.

I can see clearly the stress is due to your financial position. You have committed more than you earn.

Anyway, crying over spilt milk will not help. It is better to make money rather than trying to cut costs.
Sit and write down your revenues, expenditure, loans etc.
Identify the gap and the money you need to earn to tide over the issues.
Try some part time work. Once you have some money in hand, you will find yourself, relaxed ad enjoying.

All the best

This is not an answer really
Just good luck.
I hope that you have someone you can sit down with and talk to about this, cuz it sounds like you need a hug and a "coffee session" (as my friend calls it).
