Rosie's problem is the same as many other people's problem. They see fault in everything and everyone else.... except themselves. For example, anyone who makes and statements that can be misconstrued as "Homo-phobic" will be chastised by her. However, if she wants to make fun of asians on national TV, it's not a big deal and the fact that people (especially asians) are making it a big deal means that they are homo-phobes. What's really sad are these groupies of hers that also see that she can do no wrong.... they are feeding into her ego.
I will freely admit that for a couple of months back in the late 90's, I used to watch her show. I thought her no-nonsense approach was refreshing. Then there was that fateful day when I lost all respect for her as a talk show host... the day she verbally attacked Tom Selleck on air. I think ever since then, she has gotten more and more disillusioned about her fame and status to the point where as others have already said, she thinks she can do no wrong. It's really sad to see and she is a terrible example and role model for women everywhere (not just lesbians). A part of life is humility. That's something that Rosie does not have. Instead, she is self-righteous, arrogant, obnoxious, and completely egotistical. Thanks for posting the question. :-)

The Kelly Ripa thing was just plain idiotic. Putting his hand over her mouth was very rude of Clay Aiken, not to mention presumptuous that she did not mind him intruding her personal space. Then Rosie hears about it, and accidentally outs Clay in the process of being at least temporarily homophobic. You heard me, I just called Rosie a homophobe. If she wasn't, she would have even thought of that. All in all, it was a stupid comment on her part, and I'm sure she wishes she had have kept her mouth shut.
I don't really know too much about the Donald Trump thing, other than that they have been calling each other names for a little while now. While Rosie has been rude, the things I have heard Trump say have been far worse, going so far as to repeatedly call her a loser, a failure, and attacking her relationship with ferocity. Which really shows a lack of class on his part. He calls her a big mean bully, ugly on the inside as well as out, and yet he has made his fortune doing being this way?
Rosie has had to put up with a lot of crap from other people, celebrities included. I can understand that. She came out in the spotlight. That can't have been easy. However she can be offensive. Either way, you have to remember, she is only human.
My point here is, nobody has said Donald Trump makes straight men look bad. A comment as such about Rosie just shows how much homophobia lives in the minds of the gay and lesbian community, or the community in general for that matter. Rosie having a public spat is embarrassing yes. But not for lesbians. For Rosie.

No, she doesn't. Society gives her and all lesbians a bad name.
She's a comedienne, if she were male everyone would say she was brilliant and bold, but because she's female everyone looks for every excuse to hate her. Because she's female, because she's a lesbian, because she's thick....but the truth is everyone is just caving into that mod mentality that women shouldn't be outspoken and fight for themselves.
Which is so lame and such a double standard.
She's brash, she's bold, she doesn't take crap, she stands up for herself as well as all women, lesbians or not, all parents, all people who aren't born with a silver spoon in their mouths.
She's down to earth and very realistic.
She's done a lot for lesbians, women in general, the entire LGBT community and LGBT parents.
She should be looked up to and given the respect she's worked her tail off for!
and if some loudmouth, womanizing, louse like Trump cuts her down, WE should all have stood up to him and put HIM in his place!
He's a greedy scum sucker who thinks he can buy off everyone and everything in his path....but the only thing he can't purchase is CLASS!

I don't know what happened with Kelly Rippa, but Rosie had every right to say those things about Donald. What he did gave a bad name to the Miss USA pagaent, and by the way, his comments toward Rosie were much worse than her comments toward him. She was only telling the truth, wheras he was just being mean and immature.

You think Rosie has the problem?? LOL. Sorru hun, u got it completely backwards. Donald is being absolutely RIDICULOUS. He has all this money and does all this so-called real estate "work" but yet he has enough time to play this jr high name calling game? It's childish & ignorant. Both of them need to just chalk it up and GET over IT. But Donald really looks like the idiot. The comments on Rosies weight was completely rude & unnecessary. And he is most definitely the LAST person who needs to slam on anybodies looks!

I don't associate her with lesbians. I just find her very annoying, tacky, and uncouth. Admittedly on occasion, i've found her somewhat amusing but her recent insincere apology to asians after her rather passionate "ching-chong speech" was to tell you the truth, plain DISGUSTING. Oh and I don't exactly want to drink tea with Donald Trump, just because I find Rosie irritating. Trump is equally irritating and he should also shut up and be given time out and sat in a corner.

She does not represent me. She's rude and comes off as arrogant.
Ellen Degenerous is a lot more likeable.
By the way, Donald Trump really is a jerk.

It would seem that Trump is keeping this going for publicity reasons, and will for as long as he can. You'll notice that now he dragged Barbra Walters in it, too. He could have just let the whole thing drop.

I don't think she gives lesbians a bad name. First off, Rosie is a comedian, and it is her nature to mock characters of all sorts. However, she never said anything offensive to Donald. Donald went on every single show in America to promote his shows and what-have-you, and used this incidence to not only offend her, but for self gain. He gives wealthy people a bad name.
