He must be bisexual! or maybe he found the love he has been looking for in that particular woman. Most probably she loves him too.

No, it's very, very uncommon, but it does happen. It could be any number of things:
1) He's really bisexual and is discovering it (since it's just this one woman, I highly doubt this one).
2) His sexuality is changing from gay to straight or gay to bisexual (again, I doubt it, since it's not all women).
3) He's in love with/infatuated with this woman. Love, after all, is gender-blind, and sometimes we find ourselves attracted to those we wouldn't normally be. It doesn't mean he's straight or bisexual- just a gay man who loves a woman. Definitely see Tom Robinson for an example of this.
I'm going with #3. Wish him luck, whatever happens!

I think it's normal - the identites we give ourselves are just labels, and sometimes we don't always fit those labels 100%. They're general guidelines to give other people an idea of how we want to be perceived (gay men are attracted to men, bisexual people aren't bogged down by gender differences, etc.). We like to think of people as "100% _____", but the truth is we're always growing and learning more about ourselves, so the labels we give ourselves (and others) can be limiting.
These labels and identites aren't immutable, just as people who identified as straight in the past develop feelings for people of the same sex/gender, so too do people who identify as gay/lesbian develop feelings for people of the opposite. I think your friend is just having feelings for a person, and whatever he is, is up to him. Nobody can identify your orientation for you - it's up to you how you identify, just as it's up to him. Maybe he's more comfortable identifying as gay, or maybe this attraction to a woman will make him more comfortable identifying as bisexual. Only he can tell. There's no concrete way to really know.
But really, these labels are just that. Don't get too hemmed in by gay/straight/bisexual/queer, because people have the potential to discover more about themselves, like your friend might be doing.

he can't be 100% gay if he has some attraction to the opposite sex. he may be on a spectrum of bisexuality--that is mostly gay. But some types of women turn him on.

lol...
well wierd situation, but have u ever considered that he might be bi???
it's always a possibility...
there's also the possibility that he's attracted to this woman in a friendly kind of way, maybe he likes her so much as a friend, and because of society's pressure to be straight, he believes that he's attracted to her...
ask him on his views about it, maybe u dont know everything that's going on in his head, unless this "friend" is actually YOU
XD

I am a four on the Kinsey scale, let me tell you how possible it is.
That aside, it is quite possible to fall in love with the person, not their sex. The qualities we look for in a person somtimes come in unexpected wrapping.
