i just watched the ellen show and there was a man that they are calling the subway superman. He jumped down on the tracks to save a man that was having a seizure, in front of his two little girls non the less....would you risk your life for that of another?

I'd die if it meant saving my children or husband. Not sure about a total stranger, someone has already said it'd be a reflex thing and I suppose i'd agree with that. I did almost get run over once trying to save this little puppy. Turned out he ran away in time anyway but I nearly got killed! So ungrateful lol, he could've said thanks or woof or something.

Oh funny. A friend told me about this story, and he couldn't decide if it would be worse to wake up from a seizure to find yourself laying on the tracks, or to have another man lying on top of you.

But I digress.

I don't know. I am sometimes subject to impulse, so it's possible that I would. But assuming I had time to think about it, I'm not sure what I would do.

I don't think you know for sure until you are put in that situation. I would certainly like to think I would. I am CPR certified so I am prepared just in case! I have no doubt that I would for a loved one but for a stranger? Like I said, I would hope that I am the kind of person who would just react and not even think twice. Good thought provoking question!

the only human beings i could try this for is my mom, my father and my brother simply by fact i understand i won't stay with out them. i ask your self whether it makes me a foul guy or woman too, to not elect to offer up my existence to save say, an in depth buddy or distant kinfolk.

I think that's something that really can't be answered. It's more of a reflect action, at the time.

That isn't something you think about. It's more of a relex. A "heat of the moment" moment.
