My friends and I were jk around and came up with this Dancing With the Stars idea. We're just wondering what everyone thinks about it and if it was on TV would you watch it.
Currently, only Mario, Joey, Monique, and Emmitt can do this because they are the only ones who've learned all 10 dances. Pair a normal person, I'll call them challengers, with a previous competing celeb. The celeb, with guidance from the professional, teaches the challenger the dance or dances everyweek. They dance the same things as the stars do. The celeb with the challenger perform it with the stars on the show. They receive judges scores. Every few weeks the audience is asked to vote for their favorite challenger and celeb couple. Judges scores from the previous few weeks are added up. The one kicked off is the one with the lowest combined total of the judges scores and audience votes. End of the season a winner is choosen. Winning couple gets a lot of money to their favorite charity. Please be honest.

You can probably tell we came up with it when we were discussing the twist this past season when they taught a normal person how to dance. We thought this would be an improvement

Please, do the American peoples really need to be subjected to yet another crummy dance competition? Look around, and you will find people are addicted to this crap because they have nothing better in their lives to be doing than watch bottom-feeder TV shows.
In no way would this show add to our society or educate anyone.
With that being said and out of the way, I can safely say that the TV execs might actually take a show like this, as they see anything as trendy as "dancing" as a possibility to make insto-cash. So if you really want to, draw up a document for the show and submit it.

Although it is well thought out and obviously a kind of cool idea, the celebs cannot teach how to dance. It is one thing to learn a dance and a whole different thing to teach it. Also, in all honesty, network execs would not go for the idea because people do not respond to watching other "normal" people. We will all deny that but think about Survivor and Big Brother etc. Everybody is either like a model or a total freak. But I watch it.
If you enjoy this type of thinking, get into advertising and marketing.

Nice twist of a season, but not as an additional show. Dancing with the Stars is already established as a hit, but I think the field is oversturated at this point. Example, "Your the One that I Want". I turned it off b/c its been overdone.

There were two tv shows in Germany with this concept. very successful! we had a boxer, singer or talkshow moderator as untalented dancer.
another show was dancing on ice! that was funny, all the accidents were shown on tv.

I wouldn't watch it. I don't watch the dance shows that are on tv now. (You said "please be honest".)
