I would like to purchase a dvd of the screenplay, Cathy come home, starring Carol White, but cannot find it for a reasonable price. any suggestions? Not ebay or amazon as the price they are asking, is extortionate

Sadly the dvd of this, and SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING, A TASTE OF HONEY are all released by the BFI and are a bit like classic BBC comedy dvds in so much that they are expensive and RARELY appear cheap unlike popular film dvds that drop in price over time. According to the HMV website the dvd is now deleted, which probably accounts for it NOT being on the Play.com site (where I buy my cheap dvds). Maybe another company will bring it out cheaper, I doubt it though, bit of a minority title..my advice is to buy it now, cheap as possible before all remaining dvds vanish of the shelves, the price now will be nothing compared to what it will be in a few months time on ebay once you cant get it new anywhere!

Blockbuster? Or maybe in the supermarktets, because sometimes they sell dvds

I heard that often (but not always) the BBC makes videos available for free if you can justify that you intend using them for educational purposes. Give it a try anyway!

Try your local dvd rental shop. They sometimes sell their dvds!!!
