A guy could definitely have that comforter, especially if he has long-term plans for celibacy. Additionally, should anyone ever see his bedding, he should have adequate defences against accusations of pedophilia, and he should be prepared for the general belief he is a homosexual. But perhaps those are other peoples' problems, not his. Maybe we need our expectations challenged by boys with pretty purple comforters.

of course a guy can... but i'd advise not to.. it looks like it was made for either an old grandma or a young kid...

assuming you're going for the blue one, how about something more masculine like this: http://www3.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductsHOM.aspx?DeptID=25436&CatID=30465&CatTyp=DEP&ItemTyp=G&GrpTyp=ENS&ItemID=117a0a3&ProdSeq=1&Cat=bedding&Dep=Bed+%2b+Bath&PCat=&PCatID=30444&RefPage=ProductList&Sale=&ProdCount=33&RecPtr=&ShowMenu=&TTYP=&ShopBy=0&RefPageName=CategoryAll.aspx&RefCatID=30444&RefDeptID=25436&Page=99&CmCatId=EXTERNAL|30434|30444|30465

Just because it looks like a pattern mostly women would like doesn't make a guy gay. It's not an over the top girly pattern and it also depends on the color. I really wish people wouldn't stereotype people just because of their personal preferences. I'm not in agreement with a lot of the stuff that they do but they are normally really nice people. I have had a few gay friends and I know that it would take WAY more red flags to prove it to me. It's not bad for guys to be a little effeminate. It's a proven fact that guys who are make better husbands and fathers. I had an ex boyfriend who used nothing but Pantene,Dove, and Infusium and he is definatly NOT gay. He and his wife just had their second child in June or July of last year. He used to take longer to get ready than I did when we went out. He just knows how to take care of himself. I climbed trees and played with bugs when I was little. I also played with dolls ("the Girly Girl stuff") but so did my brothers and other boys I know. I know how to change my own tires,I love Cowboy and Steelers Football, and I like to go out with friends and toss around a pigskin occasionally. Hmmmmmm........... I guess that makes me too Masculine.
Wait until I tell my hubby and 3 kids when they get home today. They will be in for a total shock.
Give me a break.........

No that is god-awful. Darker colors would work better for a man's room, less the frilly edges . Get something with straight hems for the dust ruffle and pillow shams. I wouldn't even put that JCPenney one in a daughter's room.

Just the comforter? Yes, but in the blue and without the dust ruffle and all the frilly pillows. Get a solid dust ruffle and that blue, checked comforter would look fine.

I know that my husband would flip out if I bought that particular comforter. Maybe you should look for something a little less feminine, unless of course, you really like it. Most guys I know prefer simple designs and bolder colors (not pastels).

Not without having to answer questions from people inquiring if he lets his mom shop for him.

No he can't! Why are you going around asking things like this? Obviously we all know that you are totally gay! And that is sick.
