Unfortunately your friend is about to learn a very big mistake at a young age.

If she is pregnant, I suppose let them marry, so they can say they at least tried to give the child a stable environment.

In the meantime she better find a way to let her parents know, I mean those are not things easily hid especially by a fifteen year old.

But I highly suggest she talks to an adult she trust. I don't know how her relationship is with her mother but I think it is best to tell.

A child is going to be born in this situation she has gotten herself into.

In Georgia an older woman was locked up for getting pregnant by a 15 year old boy. I don't know Tennessee laws but in most states a 22 year old is an adult and a 15 year old a child. The 22 year old could be charged with statutory rape. I was on a grand jury that indicted a 20 year old man for impregnating a 15 year old girl. He is doing jail time. Your friend may be OK but her fiance could go to jail if her parents press charges.

I'm sorry but if she's 15 and engaged to a 22 year old, she's got far deeper issues than just being pregnant. At that age, she is NOT mature enough (and I know she probably thinks she is....but trust me SHE IS NOT) to be engaged or be having a child.

Chances are, the 22 year old ADULT who should have known better than to 1. Sleep with a 15 year old CHILD and 2. Shoudn't be ENGAGED to a 15 year old is going to get into some SERIOUS trouble for impregnating a teenage girl who is underage.

In TN, that's stagetory rape and he's probably going to go to jail and be listed as a sex offender. If her parents press charges, which they should (if they're responsible) he's going to be in serious trouble.

Maybe they shouldn't have thought about this before they hopped into the bedroom.

In Tennessee you have to be 16 or have a court order to get married. If the 22 y/o is the father of the child he could get charged with statutory rape.

and i thought my situation of 15 and 18 was bad .. i mean my best friend is 16 and dates a 22 year old and they were happy together .. yes happiness is everything but if her parents dont like the idea he will get charged and go to jail .. its sad to see if two people are in love how they can get broken apart in less than 5 min due to a stupid law .. but hey thats america

being under 18 she can't legally get married (in the US) without parental or guardian consent, however i have heard of a future spouse becoming the guardian of another so that they can be married, as for the pregnancy thing she definitely needs to look at all the options (adoption, etc) before she rushes into a marriage at such an early age. It's very important that she talk to her parents as well, they might be mad at first, but they will still love her. As a friend you could take her to planned parenthood or another pregnancy clinic to talk about options with a professional.

Depends on the laws of Tennessee. Your buddy could be seeing some jail time if the parents want to press charges

It's probably up to her parents whether or not the 22 year old will be prosecuted. He could be charged with statutory rape. Take a lesson from what happened: God says it does not belong to us to direct our own step. Look what happens when people "follow their heart" instead of our creator's loving guidance. So many problems could be avoided if people listened to God's commandments!

Read this and share it with your friend, please.

Yes, when her parents find out, they will be able to press charges against the 22 yr old, regardless of how the 15 year old feels about it for statutory rape.
