Conspicuous consumption is still in vogue, don't you pay attention to the TV? Not like they have to answer to the underlings whose work allows them to have ridiculous profits and ungodly salaries hundreds of times that of the average worker..

Finally, a real economic problem. I suggest we bomb Italy until they increase production. We can tax the lower classes to build the bombers.
