My 5 gb version of the Creative Zen Micro had a fatal flaw with the earjack, something that turns out to be very common for this model. I fixed it using the instructions on this website: http://www.noboundrees.com/micro_fix/

I bought my Zen Micro used, so I didn't have a warranty and no other choice but to take the risk to fix it. Fortunately, I work at an engineering company, so I had the needed tools. Everything works fine now. However, I cannot recommend this model unless I made certain that the manufacturing flaw has been fixed since mine was produced.

i had one up until christmas, it worked fine and sounded great too,and the battery life was good plus you can buy new replacement batteries for it, unlike an ipod which is a sealed unit that has to bee sent off for repairs, the only thing i found fiddly was the touch pad to operate the unit, play, rewind etc, the keypad only needs the slightest of touches if you are heavy handed you will have probs with pressing the wrong keys but on the whole its a great player. go for it.get the white version. very classy

The bet choice is one of the Mp3's. You can get a ipod nano 8GB because-
1. It is really very attractive.
2. It is really very slim and handy.
3. It has a lot of storage space.
4. It has good sound quality.
5. It has many good colors.
Have fun and make a good choice!!! ^!^ C ya.

I have the 30GB version. Very good indeed. Think the 60GB version is probably the market leader.
