If you want to change your ip immediately, if your ISP is DHCP then you can either get a router or install new nic(network card), or connect a different pc to modem.

Depends.

Most ISPs use DHCP for residential customers. However, many times you will get the same IP address every time you connect. My IP has changed twice in 5 years. Doing a release-renew doesn't change it. That said, there is no need to change your IP address. It doesn't matter what your IP address is just as long as it's unique.

That depends on what kind of service you're receiving. In short, if you have a static IP, not really, though you could probably call them up and ask them to change it, if not, then you should be able to simply reboot your router in order to change it, but it'd probably do it more reliably if you left said router off for a while. Dynamic IPs, which most people have unless they specificly order otherwise normally change every few days regardless.

yes u can change but the ip provided by isp are automated by DHCP hence it may change if ip provided are static.

never bother about it. if u want to know ur current ip just type 'ipconfig' in the command prompt.system would respond with ur latest ip.
