Media, recently the courage over the vial and Muslim rights has caused violence. The focus on how Political correctness has changed Christmas lights to Winter lights, newspapers focussing on the number of immigrants and the number of ethnic minorities who receive benefits and interpreters at the U.K governments expense
*Positive discrimination, employers, universities want to be seen as a equal opportunity employer and will try to employ more people from a none U.K white background.
*Environment if UK whites have grown up with parents from the 1940's to 1970's generation they will most likely to prone to racism, as there parents would have racist views as the come from a generation where this is expectable.
*Location if people are growing up in an ethnically cleansed environment they will be more prone to attack others who enter their community who are a different race.
*The statement of race, such as black mans community centre, or Muslim community centre. The statement of race often upset the white community, as this is segregating groups and implying to centre is for blacks/Muslims only, as it would be non P.C if a white mans community centre where to open. (Although these are traditionally working men’s clubs but do not have a specific race name)

A lot of racism is not cause by people themselves.

Newspapers and Gov Stats - When people see how many have come here through immigration and the fact the government totally underestimates this, people get a little paranoid that the country is no longer theirs.

Causing Offense - Idiotic human rights issues and crazy rulings eg: no chrismtas trees at work. St Georges Day flag bans - not being allowed to celebrate our own traditions, but being forced to tolerate foreign traditions. The feeling of traditional nationals are now second class citizens.

Benefit fraud and Money - Anyone coming here to take money out of the country, but not give any back. eg:- Earning money here to send back home so they can retire early in their homeland. To me, this type of person is not interested in integrating and getting to know nationals or our culture.

Segregation - Living in seperate little communities. Would it hurt to smile or say good morning... or even say thanks once in a while to eath other.

Hate Preachers - Anyone who preaches hate against the nation as a whole or supports these people. Seeing this causes hate towards innocent immigrants.

I can give you one cause and that is that people come into the country and get handouts, even though there are English people living on the streets who get nothing. Also they take jobs, but racism towards other English people just because they're a different colour is silly.

I don't know if I can give you five, but here goes.
1) Fear. (2) Ignorance. (3) Upbringing, or nurture, which of course links to ignorance. (4) In some cases peer groups, which links to fear. (5) Plain unpleasant people who will use any excuse to get at others. I suppose you could call it an evil nature.

Racism is caused by ignorance, intolerance, bigotry, irrational beliefs and media hype.

Upbringing - mostly
Media
Religion
Ignorance
they're the main ones...
It's incredible how much of that goes on: white, black, asian, arabs...they all do it. At least it's one thing that crosses all boundaries. Equal opps in hate! It still amazes me!
