I have 7&3 year old boy's, should they be able to watch these shows?

I don't. My I have 9, 7, 5, 4, 2, 1 and no I don't let them watch these shows. Stewie is too disrespectful to his parents, don't want my children to pick up on that.
Also, don't let my children watch the Fairly Odd Parents for the same reason.

I would have to say no, I watch those shows and they are a bit to mature for a 7 year old; let alone a 3 year old. I agree that they are funny but the humor is for adults only. They are pretty much PBS, Disney Channel (some shows),Baby channel, and G rated for the 3 three old and PG for the 7 year old.

Yes. These shows deal mainly in innuendo, which often flies right over a child's head. For instance, I watched Revenge of the Nerds numerous times as a kid and had no idea how dirty it was until I watched it years later.

I think those shows are really too mature for children. Children see animation & think "cartoons." The truth is probably most of the material will go over your children's heads but they'll laugh at the sight gags. Your question though really depresses me. I'm glad you asked though. I don't have children so I don't really know what children shows are on but I advise you to NOT allow your children to watch what is inappropriate for them.

I have a 3-year-old. Sesame Street and Barney is more up his alley than Family Guy and/or American Dad.

there are some pretty innapropriate parts in family guy atleast (haven't seen american dad) even though its hilarious

Omg what's wrong with those shows?? I let my sister watch south park with me since she was three years old. South Park is worse than family guy and american dad combined.

I let my 11 year old son watch them, but I wish I had never got him hooked. Probably not a good idea.

Well family guy is like my husbands fav show!!! we have 4 daughters...14,13,4,2 and they watch it...not that they always pay total attention (the little ones) but they do watch....it is not terrible...if you raise your kids with good values...the knowledge of right and wrong....they allready know whats acceptable and not...they know it is "just t.v."...

Kids? NO Adults? Fine.I feel those shows is whats turning our youth into immoral & unethicle people of society.
