i own a shop,and it may be a bad gas filter causing this to happen,,id change it,,and go from there,,you can take it by any auto zone store,and have them scan it for free,and they can tell you if it has any trouble codes in it that might cause this to happen,,that would be a real good start on finding the problem,,and the best and cheapest way also,,good luck hope this help,s.

I was a mechanic a General Motors dealership in the late 90s and we had a lot of problems with fuel pumps quiting. after the pump cools down it starts working again. this happened so much that if the car was towed in for quiting while driving but it started for us we would usually just replace the pump. This fixed the problem about 90% of the time.

check the plug wires,make sure they don`t have any breaks in them
check the air filters also
