First off, consider where you want to go. Then, go to that state's licensing department website to check on their reciprocity rules.

Typically, you'll have to fill out a form and provide proof of licensure. In some cases, you need to notify your state's licensing board to forward that proof directly to the state you're applying. Takes about 3-4 weeks to get it all done, and it will cost you a bit in fees (won't have to take another exam, AFAIK), but it's all in making sure you're legit.

In the meantime, you can tell your prospective employer that you're in the process of applying for reciprocity.

And good luck wherever you end up.
