Whether or not they make eye contact with you while they are saying a lie. If they aren't really looking at you, they're lying. If they really look at you hard and say it, they are lying. Typically, someone who lies all the time is someone to be weary with. Pathological liars say outrageous things and will tell you anything to keep the conversation going. Even if they lie about stupid stuff, you probably can't trust them with the real stuff as they eventually get to the point where they don't know what the truth is anymore, they lie so much. People with tough lives (divorced parents, abusive parents - mentally or physically) typically show these signs more. They used it as a mechanism to cope.

There's no way to prove whether someone is lying to you or not just by looking at them. Even a polygraph test is not admissible in court as evidence that someone is lying.

Here are some tell tale signs though.

1 Pupil dilation
2 Failure to make eye contact.
3 Unusual body language
4 Subject avoidance, using sarcasm and humor to change the subject
5 Fidgeting
6 Defensiveness

Depends on how well you know that person. If a man--is he talking? No, j/k.
Generally the more details they add to a story, without prompting is a good indication. Also if they look up--as if they are trying to create a picture in their minds.
I don't know about the hand they write with thing. Never heard anything about it.

Not at all...My husband works for a Correctional Center & took classes on all of this stuff~He says if some one looks to thier right when answering a guestion than they are probably lying. I know sometimes when people lie they tend to keep on rambling. Tell your friend to not worry about people who lie to her b/c they just make themselves look dumb~Trust me I know, my sister-in-law is a compulsive liar & she normally just makes herself look like an a** all the time!

Not necessarily....it depends on which direction their eyes go when you ask them a question. If they look to their..I believe it's the right side...then they're lying because that's the area of the brain that imagination is on. If they look to the left side then they're trying to remember. I think that's right....I might have the sides mixed up.

I can't tell by the way someone writes but I feel like I can tell if someone is lying if I know them well. Usually I can tell by the way they move their mouths and eye contact.

there's a bunch of indicators, but I've never heard of the writing hand having to do with it. this video is awesome at summarizing and showing typical behavior while lying: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-can-i-tell-if-someone-is-lying-to-me

I don't know about the whole hand thing but it definately has to do with them looking at you straight in the eyes when they speak to you.

Sure!! and how does she handle an ambidextrous person???
You should know it has to do with the ear lobe and if it is droops or is attached.
Some people will believe anything.

as they speak, look at their eyes. if they stare back at you sort of arrogantly or can't look you in the eye for long without looking away, they are probably lying.
