That is a squishy subject. The probablem usually occurs because the person paying the support has a change in employment that results in less pay. If it is involuntary (layoff, health, physical injury), that pretty much ends the discussion. The fight occurs when the change was voluntary, and almost always pits the rights of the person paying the support against the rights of the chidren receiving the support. If you can figure out how to straighten out that particular mess, you will get thanks from all sides.

The father should have thought about that before he made a child.
Child support is not "extortion" by the government - it is the moral, ethical, and legal obligation to the child. Just because you don't have the money does not mean that the child still doesn't need things.

well, the honor system doesnt work, so thats why they passed all of these state/federal child support laws. some just dont know the costs of raising a child.
the states are tired of parents not paying for their children.
thats why judges tell the parents to find a second job. that way, one job pays support and the other pays for his living expenses (just like the mothers do).
if you feel you are being over charged, ask for a modification. the child support does go up, because the cost of living does (rent, heat, clothing, food, tylenol, medical, diapers, toilet paper, laundry det, school supplies, school trips, etc).
its hard on everyone in the situation.

if you're a overseas owned company and favor to do company contained in the U. S. then you definitely could grant guarantees. the in consumer-friendly words ingredient that has been taken from BP is a guarantee that they are going to do what they say they are going to do, and pay for what they already say they pays for. keep in options they make an excellent type of money from all the different oil company they do contained in the U.S. in the experience that they don't like it they could %. up and go artwork contained in the North Sea.

If the mother is financially incapable of supporting the child, you should take custody and take care of the child, and not expect child support in return to show your ability to care for the child financially without support from the mother. I believe the Custodial parent should be able to support the child and a "Trust Fund" for the child be maintained by the non-custodial parent (Under Supervision) for the future benefit of the child not for someone who say they the better parent and not have financial responsibility and thus spend the child's money.

eople are ignorant of the child support laws, you can't just ask for a downward modification if you can't afford the high rates that the state sets for mommy support.
How many of us has $1200 to spare?
Even if you take a second job, they take fromthat too!
