It has changed the Global view of America from respected icon of freedom and prosperity, to disdain. This will have a lasting effect on business and trade for decades.
No longer will global business be eager to deal with the US; but they will be more cautious.

He has achieved for the Middle East, the same stability that Israel has done for the Levant since invading Palestine in the 45 years ago, America achieved by Invading Vietnam in the 60's, by bombing Cambodia in the 70's, as the Russians did by Invading Afghanistan in the 1980's.
And Bush and Co is about to debatable Eastern Africa in the same way, by invading southern Somalia. Just what the world needs, another pointless war, another batch of refugees, another band of terrorists forged in the fires of hate started by the Western powers.

There's the damage to the infrastructure of Iraq
The fact that terrorists now operate from Iraq and never did before
The way Iran has benefited and now seems able to become a Shia superpower
The deaths of 3,000 serving Americans and the sorrow caused to their families and friends
The deaths of hundreds of thousands of nameless Iraquis
The damage to the international reputations of the US and the UK
The loss of American interests around the world
The list goes on and on and I am unable to put a figure on the damage
But the damage is immense and is getting worse with the latest "surge"

Well, for those Americans who believe we should kiss the UN's butts, it's not good.
Frankly, the UN has outlived its usefulness and our actions over the last few years prove just how ineffective it is. That makes a lot of people angry, but sometimes, the truth hurts.
I really don't care what Europe thinks of us. We've saved them from themselves, more than once, and what thanks do we get? France and Germany both have population problems and will have to tangle with growing, disenfranchised minority groups. Even the UK has this problem. Hopefully, we won't.

i really don't give a skydiving f#ck what the global point of view is and never did.nations have ALWAYS criticized the United States, nomatter what it does.since when do We cowtow to opinion? start looking at global politics as half full instead of half empty, and you might be percieved as something other than a whining,mealy-mouthed,complaining p#ssy, who doesn't stand for anything except bending over and grabbing your ankles.

I won't pretend to be able to predict the future, but some folks who are knowledgeable about such things put forth, "This (the Iraq fiasco) will go down in history as the most monumental foreign policy blunder this nation has ever undertaken."
I grieve for this nation, the loss of our fighting men and women, the multitudes of innocents killed in Iraq, the waste of hundreds of billions of dollars. The list goes on.

Simply, looking at it from a foreign policy view, the United States' image has been tarnished. The next administration will have to work overtime to undo many of the things Bush did in his sleep. Maybe in a few more years, I won't have to pretend to be Canadian anymore when I visit Europe.

Hospitals built, schools built, women can vote, power restored, civilian government, constitution mandating human rights for all citizens, terrorists dying, Saddam out of power, business booming, no more gassing of Kurds, crackdown on black market and aid to terrorist organizations....
If you asked the Iraqis if they are better off, and we have, many many times, they would say "American troops should stay" and "thank you for getting rid of that evil dictator".
It's just rare that our media would publish such damaging facts.
