Flylady.net. I totally hate doing stash and dash cleaning. Flylady taught me to clean and declutter 15 minutes at a time. You also get 15 minutes of "me" time every hour you work to just put your feet up, have a warm cup of your favorite drink, read a book, play on the computer or whatever. I've been flying for about 6 months and my house is never more than 15 minutes from clean. But more than that Flylady changed my life. I'm a more peaceful person, my husband is happier, I have more money, and I can have people over now. Best of all Flylady is absolutely FREE!

The satisfaction of having a clean, nice looking place motivates me. Try one room at a time and enjoy doing it while listening to your favorite tunes. If you have kids, have/let them help. Kids love the idea of being helpful...and so many moms seem to totally overlook this fact. It will lead them into being clean and neat adults and better spouses in the future. Anyway, don't sweat or worry too much about a dirty house. It's not cancer and the world won't end if you don't clean your house.

Whenever I feel a cleaning slump coming on I put in some really great dance music. It motivates you to move and makes cleaning fun. It's also a great exercise tool, gets your heart rate up, so your are "knocking out two birds with one stone." Hope this helps!

An old friend of mine did what he called "commercial cleaning". This meant that he had the television on, and whenever a commercial can on, he would just up and do something until the commercial was over. You'd be amazed what you can do in just a few minutes. It just seems to jump start the cleaning!

not having to do it later of the day have small chores in steed if big chores. and not to wearing a bout sharing the house with bugs. and watching a t.v. show called how clean is your house, people that are messy like that deserve to live on the streets.

when i start tripping over garbage or something starts rotting.
but seriously, think how good you feel when everything is clean. and also, if you keep it clean its easier than letting it get bad and having a major job on your hands.

i clean my room about once a week. that's about how long it takes until the mess is more annoying than the act of cleaning.
