Hi i was on the depo and i put on loads of weight and so my doc took me off it. I was getting periods while on the depo and once i came off it they pretty much stayed the same however it took me about 1 and 1/2 years to get pregnant with my little girl and for a certain amount of time before i got pregnant i didn't ovulate either not sure if that was 2 do with the depo though. But it can take a long time unfortunately. take care.xx

This is straight from the depo pamphlet as I read it a while back
It can take up to two years for fertility to return, but the average time for normal fertility is 10 months and the average time for conception after the first missed injection is 10 months.
However, I don't believe that...I am 18 months past my last injection and am believing that I may be fertile now...we are currently TTC #2.

completely relies upon on the guy. i become on depo for 4 years, had my very last injection September 2003, so might want to have run out round December 2003 and that i fell pregnant in June 2004, so for me it in consumer-friendly words took 6 months, yet I honestly have heard thoughts of it taking as a lot as 2 years. do basically no longer ignore that even those who use no birth control by any ability each so often take a lengthy time period to conceive.

Depending on how long you have been on it. It looses it's effectiveness after about 12-13 weeks from your last shot. However - if you want to get pregnant - it can take up to 18 months after your last depo injection before it will happen.

Some women get pregnant right off the depo shot and some have to go to a specialist to get pregnant.

It could take a year to 18 months for your fertilility to return to normal ie periods to become regular or to get pregnant. But the actual injection lasts for 11-12 weeks so if you don't have another injection when your due to then you wouldn't be covered and there would be a chance you could get pregnant.

6 months to one year per my GYN (for conceiving).

After the third month (when your due for your next shot) they are decreasing in your body. It depends how long you have been on the shot. Some woman it takes a year to get regular cycles back.
I was on it a year then returned to the pill for a few months to jump start my cycles. I was pregnant the third cycle off my pills.
Total time was 8 months to get pregnant.

I believe it takes a while thats why many woman dont opt for it its not that its stays in ur body but i was told when i asked to have it that it would disrupt my normal ovulation and when it came to wanting children it could take up to 2 years for the ovaries to kick back in hence why i oppted for the good old rubber something that cant interfere with my bodys natural cycles
