world of war craft guilds how do i get out of one ?

i know some one who was invited to join a guild and the other guild member left leaving him with a guild with only him in it does anyone know how he can resolve this problem ?

if he is the ONLY member....my brother says you have to pay to absolve the guild, find someone interested in having their own guild (so then you can pass it off--which is likely what was done to your friend), or see if you can get invited into a new guild. I don't think the last one works if there is no one else in the guild, though.

Type in the command "/gquit"
that will remove you from the guild.
