It's true. The reason why its rare to find in any movie format (.mov, avi, mpeg, etc) Is because its guarded under heavy licensing. Anyone caught fansubbing episodes or having fansubbed episodes would get in major trouble. Nor does anyone mind up to this point. No devoted fan to anime would ever want to fansub something like Digimon.
