when i start up it say windows set at too few colours we suggest you change settings to16 bit or higher..........how do i do this?.....ive loooked on my display settings but cant see how to change...thanks

If there are no boxes in your display settings to make the display definition any higher than 640x480 and 16 colour then the display driver has not been loaded. Try the Toshiba laptop site or DriversHQ if you don't have the drivers CD.

When you go into Control Panel, Display, then Settings, on the right side of that window, you should see a drop-down for Color Depth... Change it to 16 or 32 bit.

Sounds like your video card drivers may not be working correctly... I think you can get them here:
