I'm doing a school proj. on surgeons. What differnet tests do u have to pass to become a surgeon?

After you have finished med school you apply for a surgical program....there are any number of them...general surgery....orthopedic/cardiac/vascular/neurosurgery etc. etc. If you are accepted you spend anywhere from 3-6 years in the program....depending upon the type of surgery you wish to do. At the end of the residency (usually 1-3 years) you appear in front of a board who examines you in the specialty and then certifies you IN this specialty...if you meet their standards.

SAT/ACT in high school, take the MCAT in college to get into med school, during med school, you have to take and pass your state Board exams.

Might be more, but my surgeon buddy's sorta busy right now during his residency.
