Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is my favorite of the films.
I thought that Chris Columbus did a wonderful job bringing the book to the screen. Richard Harris was absolutely perfect as Dumbledore - just as I imagined he would be when I read the books. I also enjoyed seeing more of Alan Rickman, who does a fantastic job portraying Professor Snape. I really loved Jason Isaac's introduction in his role of the delightfully wicked Lucius Malfoy. Kenneth Braugnah brought some well placed humor to the film as the inept Professor Lockhart. Maggie Smith does a great job playing the stern Professor McGonagall, and Robbie Coltrane is always fun to watch as the loveable Hagrid. The kids acting improved a lot from the first film too.

I was talking about this the other day. It's either 1 or 3. "Prisoner of Azkaban" was my favorite book in the series until I read "Half Blood Prince," so my standards for the movie were much higher. That said, it wasn't a bad movie and (unlike "Goblet") stayed true to the book without adding unnecessary (sp) elements. "Sorcerer's Stone," though, is quite a faithful following of the book (and that is muy importante) and is nicely done.
So, it's a tie. I can't decide. My favorite is the one which I am more in the mood to watch that day.
