Washington DC is cool. My wife and I went to see a production at Fords Theater for one of our anniversaries and loved it. The Poconos (in PA) would probably be another good spot.

When is the anniversary? Cape Cod is really nice for a more relaxed vacation. That's what we did, but it was during August. There's a lot of places to visit. We did a Cat boat harbor tour, Dunbar tea house, Cape Cod potato chip factory, Wellfleet wildlife sancutuary and the Impudent Oyster has the best seafood I've taste on either coast.

Another fun trip is Caesars in the Poconos, which has lots of activities besides skiing. If you can go on a Sun-Thurs night it's a lot cheaper, and prices are all inclusive for food (breakfast in bed) and activities. Oh bring your own champagne.
