My husband and I are actually starting foster care classes on Thursday. We inherited a 5 bedroom house and dont have any children of our own yet, we have been married for a year and a half, he is 21 and i am 22. I just feel like my gift is loving on kids that arent my own, i am sure i will love my own, lol, but for now we are going to do foster care, my husband has afforded me the luxary of stayin home and we have a great support system in our family and a great church we are both very involved in. I am excited but i know it will be a long process. At first we are going to do infant care, long term. I know lots about babies...we are also willing to consider foster care adoption if the opportunity comes our way......hope this helps

I am a proud Foster Parent! Love (almost) every moment of it and if I had room, they would all come and live with me!

I don't but it's something I'm interested in. If we ever get to a point where we can afford a large enough house and for me not work, it's something I think we'll do.

Its a very hard thing to care for a child and then let it go after it becoming a part of your life.

Be prepared to become attached. Be prepared to be compassionate. Be prepared to give yourself. Be prepared.
